In Facebook’s F8 conference, WhatsApp announced many new features of its users. Whatsapp is more than 1.5 billion active users worldwide. The upcoming new features include group video calling and stickers. Now instant messaging Whatsapp has introduced a new web domain through which users will be able to open their chats from internet browsers. According to reports, Whatsapp has registered a new domain ‘wa.me’ and will work on devices running on Android version 2.18.138 or above.
The new Whatsapp app is an extension of the web version of chat platforms. With this new domain, Whatsapp users will be able to open the chat directly without having to enter any phone number with this domain without opening the Whatsapp web interface.
To open a Whatsapp chat directly in the browser, users must type the URL https://wa.me/country extension + (phone number). For example, if you want to chat with the number 91912345678, then you have to type this URL to https://wa.me/91912345678. Keep in mind that if you enter an invoice phone number, your chat will not open and a message will be written, ‘Phone number shared via URL is invalid’ (The number shared via URL is invalidated.
